Poker is a card game in which players place bets to win the pot. Each player is dealt two cards, called hole cards, which are placed face down on the table. A straight is a sequence of cards that skip around in rank or suit but are all from the same suit. A flush is three matching cards of the same rank. A pair is two distinct cards of the same rank.
